November's Cape Cod events calendar brings us everything from a celestial "Star Party", to an exciting new food and wine festival, and lots of activities that'll kick off your Holiday season in grand style!
From "Gardens Aglow" in Sandwich and the lighting of the Lobster Pot Christmas Tree in Provincetown, you'll find plenty of fun from one end of the Cape to the other in November 2021!
When: November 6 and 27, 2021, 7:30 - 9:30 p.m.

Crisp, clear nights are made for stargazing!
Join members of the Cape Cod Astronomical Society for a "Star Party" at Werner Schmidt Observatory.
Friendly, knowledgable, amateur astronomers from CCAS will be there to show you the stars and planets through telescopes and to tell you all about the night sky. You'll also see large-screen displays of astronomical objects that are being imaged by the main telescope in the Observatory Dome.
Keep your fingers crossed for clear skies on Star Party night. Cloudy skies or inclement weather will cancel the event.
*Note: To maintain social distancing, this will be an outdoor-only event. So wear your warmies!

The spectacular 252-foot tall Pilgrim Monument dazzles the night sky with thousands of white lights, celebrating the Pilgrims’ First Landing in Provincetown in November 1620.
The lights continue to shine through the first week of January. It's a beautiful sight to see!

The delightful children's story, The Polar Express, comes alive as you board Cape Cod Central Railroad's festively decorated train cars for a ride to "the North Pole".
Of course, the Jolly Old gentleman himself will be there when the train
stops just outside the North Pole, greeting everyone with a
rousing "Ho, Ho, Ho!".

Yes, you read that right ... a turnip festival! The town of Eastham is famous for its turnips - the sweetest you'll ever taste, courtesy of Cape Cod's light sandy soil and sweet salt air. This one-of-a-kind Cape Cod event celebrates the venerable hometown veggie with an afternoon full of games (turnip bowling, anyone?), fun contests for all ages, arts and crafts for the kids, live music, and lots of unique tastings from the turnip cook-off. Eastham turnips will be on sale, too, just in time for your Thanksgiving feast!

Heritage Museums & Gardens is putting on the glitz again this Holiday Season with it's treasured annual event - Gardens Aglow!
At this extra-special time of year, the good folks at Heritage adorn their acres of beautiful gardens and woodlands with more than 10 miles of twinkling, sparkling lights. It's truly an awesome thing to see!
Come stroll throughout the grounds and buildings where you'll enjoy festive holiday displays, family-friendly activities, marshmallow-roasting, music and special performances, visits with Santa Claus, displays of model trains - and even a visit by some baby animals.

This production of the Holiday classic whisks the audience away on an enchanting journey through local history and folklore of Cape Cod. The battle scene takes place aboard a ship as it is attacked by mooncussers off the coast of Eastham, as a swift and violent storm off Monomoy Point threatens the voyage. The salty old Sea Captain replaces the traditional Drosselmeyer character. Having sailed the high seas, he returns home to Chatham bearing exotic gifts for Clara.

The Nauset Model Railroad Club's Holiday Open House is a "don't-miss" for model railroad fans of all ages. Over 2,000 feet of display space features a variety of model trains chugging and tooting through miniature scenes festively decorated for the Holidays.
