November's Cape Cod events calendar brings us lots of activities to kick off the Holiday season in grand style!

From "Gardens Aglow" in Sandwich to the lighting of the Lobster Pot Christmas Tree in Provincetown, you'll find plenty of fun from one end of the Cape to the other in November 2024!

Provincetown Food & Wine Festival

When: November 7 - 10, 2024

Where: Various venues in Provincetown

Admission: Varies by event

Throughout this popular Festival, local chefs and restaurants showcase exceptional foods and wines with a special theme.

This year's theme has yet to be announced. (Stay tuned!) But whatever the theme might be, no doubt the 2024 Provincetown Food & Wine Festival will delight all foodies and wine lovers!


Lighting of the Pilgrim Monument

When: November 2024 date - TBA, lights go on at 6 p.m.

Where: High Pole Hill, Provincetown

Admission: No charge to watch the illumination

The spectacular 252-foot tall Pilgrim Monument dazzles the night sky with thousands of white lights, celebrating the Pilgrims’ First Landing in Provincetown in November 1620.

The lights continue to shine through the first week of January. It's a beautiful sight to see!


Stony Brook Gristmill Holiday Open House

When: November 2024 date - TBA, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: 830 Stony Brook Road, Brewster, MA

Admission: Free

The Stony Brook Gristmill will be open today, grinding corn, and selling fresh, gluten-free stone ground cornmeal.

Come see the water wheel in motion and millstones grinding. Stock up now for your holiday and winter baking!


Glassblowers' Christmas

When: Opening day is November 15, 2024

Where: Sandwich Glass Museum, 129 Main Street, Sandwich Village

Admission: This is an indoor show/sale that is free to view. Touring the Glass Museum is a separate admission.

The Sandwich Glass Museum is all dressed up for the Holidays with unique glass works created by some of the region's foremost glass artists.

The colors, the sparkle, the entire magical ambiance of the Museum in winter ... this event is sure to put you into the spirit of the Season! Don't miss it!!


Brewster Ladies Library Annual Pottery Sale

When: November 16 - 30, 2024, during regular library hours (closed Mondays and November 28 & 29)

Where: Brewster Ladies Library, 1822 Main St., Brewster, MA

Admission: Free

Eight very talented, local Cape Cod potters present their work for the Annual Holiday Pottery Show & Sale.

An array of handmade sculpture, mugs, bowls and various items will be available with a portion of the proceeds going directly to the Ladies Library.


Holidays at Highfield

When:  November 22 – December 15, 2024 on select days, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Where: Highfield Hall & Gardens, 56 Highfield Drive, Falmouth, MA

Highfield Hall is gearing up for another spectacular Holiday season featuring dazzling decorations, festive music and magical displays. And the Gift Gallery will once again be alive with artisan gifts for all ages.

Polar Express Christmas Train

When:  Weekends from Nov. 22 to Dec 23, 2024 (added dates during Christmas week); multiple departures each day

Where: Buzzards Bay Depot, 70 Main Street, Buzzards Bay

Tickets: Prices vary by trip date/time and seating class

The delightful children's story, The Polar Express, comes alive as you board Cape Cod Central Railroad's  festively decorated train cars for a ride to "the North Pole". 

As the Christmas train chugs along the tracks, everyone gets into the Holiday spirit with merry music, a reading of The Polar Express story, sweet treats, and mugs of hot cocoa.

Of course, the Jolly Old gentleman himself will be there when the train stops just outside the North Pole, greeting everyone with a rousing "Ho, Ho, Ho!".

What a fun way for the whole family to kick off the Holiday Season!


Seaside Holiday Fair

When: November 23, 2024

Where: Mashpee Congregational Church, 259 Shore Dr., New Seabury, Mashpee, MA

Admission: Free

All are invited to the festive Seaside Holiday Fair at MCC!

The fair opens at 8:30 AM for early birds and will continue until 2:30 p.m. Gift shop in the Christmas boutique features beautiful handmade items, linens, scarves, crafts, vintage and estate jewelry and more!

Follow the red balloons to 259 Shore Dr., Mashpee, in the Popponesett Market Place in New Seabury.


"Gardens Aglow"

When: November 2024 dates - TBA 

Where: Heritage Museums and Gardens, 67 Grove Street, Sandwich

Admission:  Adults $25, Youth (3-17): $15, Member Adults $23 | Member Youth (3-17): $13 | Children 2 and under: Free

Heritage Museums & Gardens is putting on the glitz again this Holiday Season with it's treasured annual event - Gardens Aglow!

At this extra-special time of year, the good folks at Heritage adorn their acres of beautiful gardens and woodlands with more than 10 miles of twinkling, sparkling lights. It's truly an awesome thing to see!

Come stroll throughout the grounds and buildings where you'll enjoy festive holiday displays, family-friendly activities, marshmallow-roasting, music and special performances, visits with Santa Claus, displays of model trains - and even a visit by some baby animals.


"Sweetacular Soiree" on Gingerbread Lane

When: November 29 & 30, 2024, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Where: Hyannis Village Green, Walkway to the Sea and Harbor Overlook, Hyannis MA

Admission: Free

This weekend's festivities include a Gingerbread Lane of colorfully decorated artist shanties; an artist holiday market; free kiddy crafts; food, beverages, and cordials for sale; visits with special costumed friends, and plenty of good Holiday cheer!


Christmas Celebration at Snow's

When: November 2024 date - TBA

Where: Snows Home and Garden, 22 Main Street Orleans, MA

Welcome in the Holiday season at Snow's Home and Garden! It's a day filled with fun for the whole family, coinciding with Small Business Saturday.

Enjoy the enchanting carolers and a lively puppet show, plus delicious local treats. Watch for Santa Claus to make a special appearance, too. 

Be sure to explore the Holiday Shop, Holiday Train, and the charming holiday store window displays. This is a fun event you won't want to miss!


Lighting of the Lobster Pot Tree

When:  November 2024 date - TBA

Where: Lopes Square in Provincetown

Admission: Free

Made from 100+ lobster pots stacked over 2 stories high and decorated with ribbons, garland and thousands of festive lights, artist Provincetown's beloved lobster pot Christmas tree will put you in the Holiday mood for sure!

The tree is first illuminated in late November and stays lit every night through the Holidays. So there's plenty of time for you to come see it!


Small Business Saturday in Orleans

When: November 30, 2024

Where: Various locations in Orleans

This popular town-wide celebration of the Holidays begins when Santa and Mrs. Claus come to town on November 30th to join families for breakfast at Orleans Yacht Club.

Then head out for some great shopping and yummy food as the festivities continue all around the town!


Holiday Open House at Nauset Model Railroad Club

When: November 2024 dates TBA 

Where: Nauset Model Railroad Club, Hilltop Plaza, Orleans

Admission: Free

The Nauset Model Railroad Club's Holiday Open House is a "don't-miss" for model railroad fans of all ages. Over 2,000 feet of display space features a variety of model trains chugging and tooting through miniature scenes festively decorated for the Holidays.


Holiday Strolls, Tree Lightings & Caroling

When: From late November through mid-December

Where: Towns and villages across Cape Cod

Admission: Free

When Thanksgiving Day is in the rear-view mirror, it's time for our annual Christmas Strolls, tree lightings on the village green, community caroling, and Santa's arrival by boat or fire truck.

These beloved Holiday events are sure to get you into the Spirit of the Season!
