April 6th is opening day for the oldest and largest flea market on Cape Cod.
The Sandwich Bazaar takes place Wednesdays and Sundays from April to October and hosts vendors with everything from local produce to hand-crafted jewelry to organic dog treats.
** Opening Day for the Sunday bazaars will be April 24th, from 7 a.m. to noon.

Fish ... run? Yes, indeed! And they climb ladders, too!!
We see these amazing feats every spring when thousands of herring migrate from the wide-open ocean to our local rivers, streams, lakes and ponds to spawn.

Flower Angels invites you to indulge in the art of flower arranging in support of a wonderful cause.
Flower Angels volunteers will guide you in making a gorgeous flower arrangement to take home or give to a loved one. Bring your own small vase or container, or use one of theirs.
Flowers and refreshments provided.
Ticket proceeds from this event support Flower Angels and its mission of repurposing donated flowers into floral arrangements for delivery to Cape Cod nursing home residents.

Chatham Bars Inn has a full weekend of Easter fun for the entire family.
The fun begins on Friday when artist Sarah Mills hosts workshops teaching the art of creating "pysanky" (Ukrainian Easter eggs) using dyes, beeswax, and a stylus.
Saturday brings Easter egg coloring time for the kids, special visits from the Easter Bunny, and hands-on "Decorate Your Own Easter Basket" and "Spring Floral Silk Wreaths" workshops.
The weekend wraps up on Sunday with a Grand Brunch at the resort's renowned restaurant, Stars, and a special Easter egg scavenger hunt throughout the Inn.

Contra dancing is the older cousin to the square dance. No fancy footwork needed – if you can walk, you can dance! (All the dances are taught and called. If you're new to contra dance, be sure to get in on the early dances for the basic moves.)
This month, Outermost Contra Dance is featuring special guest caller, Erica Weiss, renowned pianist Jacqueline Schwab and high-energy contra dance fiddler Amy Larkin.
Everyone is welcome at this family friendly event, from total beginners to expert dancers. Bring a partner, or come solo. There are plenty of friendly people in this welcoming dance community!

Do you have an animal lover in the family? Or maybe a budding scientist? Cape Cod Museum of Natural History has special April school vacation week events just for them!
The popular "Amazing Animal Ambassadors" program is back again this year. On April 16th, Cali the Sulfur-Crested Cockatoo, Milo the
Fennec Fox, Boomerang the Kookaburra and many more of their friends will be visiting with the kids.
On April 18th, the interactive, hands-on "Mad Science: Marvels of Motion" program explores the fascinating science of gravity and balance using everyday household objects.

Whale watching officially gets underway this week as Cape Cod's two primary cruise companies open their 2022 season.
Although it'll still be a little chilly on the water in April, the boats' cabins are climate controlled. So you'll be plenty comfy.
And whales don't mind the cold water temps. They'll be out there "putting on the feed bag" and showing off for you!
*FYI: Looking for a private whale watch charter? They start up in May.

Head out to Mashpee Commons on Saturday for their annual Easter event!

Opening day at Heritage is always a welcome event - a sure sign that winter is finally in our rear-view mirror.
Nothing says "Welcome to Spring!", like a few hours spent wandering through Heritage's many acres of gardens, alive in colorful, early-season blooms.
