The annual "Brewster in Bloom Festival" celebrates spring in the town of Brewster.
Events during the festival encourage everyone to get out and explore all around the town:

At the "Best Mom Ever Pop-Up Shop" you'll find lots of special gifts from local makers, including: Classic French macarons from Cape Cod Macarons; hand-roasted cashews and pecans from Sea Nuts; decorated sugar cookies from The Cookie Caper; candles from The Happy Lotus; photo notecards from Down Stream by Suzanne; and floral arrangements from Flower Angels.

It's back! Touch-A-Truck returns for 2022, courtesy of the Wellfleet Police Association and the Eastham Police Union.
What kind of vehicles will be there? Police cars, fire trucks, construction trucks, emergency vehicles and more!
So put this much-loved annual event on your calendar, and plan on a fun day with the family!

These adorable "shanties" house artists and artisans whose works include ceramics, painting, jewelry and more. Items are for sale at very reasonable prices (IMHO). And even if you're not in shopping mode, it's a pleasure peeking at the artists' creations as you stroll along the harborfront.
The shanties are open on weekends only from opening day in May until mid-June, then every day through late September.
When: May 20 - 30, 2022, 10 a.m. - 5:00 (last entry at 4:30 p.m. each day)
Where: Heritage Museums & Gardens, Sandwich

This is one of the Cape Cod events I look most forward to each spring. The grounds at Heritage are a breathtaking sight to behold with thousands of Rhododendrons in bloom from late May into early June!
Plan to spend a few hours or more here, exploring the acres of gardens, miles of walking trails, and the museums filled with art, American history, and antique autos. The kids will love riding on the carousel!
When: May 27, 2022 at 3:00 p.m.and 7:00 p.m.

From Tchaikovsky to Phantom, and from Ellington to Joel, pianist Sergei Novikov's performance is sure to delight music lovers, all with a good sense of humor!
Sergei has performed for such luminaries as the late President George H.W. Bush, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, President Joe Biden as well as Billy Joel, Reba McEntire and Paul Newman. Sergei was also officially recognized by the Queen Mother of England for his music.
Ticket reservations can be made online at speakingmusic.biz or by calling the 24/7 ticket line at (800) 595-4849. Part of the profits from Sergei's concerts will be donated to the International Rescue Committee (IRC) to help assist Ukraine.

The annual "Figawi" Regatta is recognized as one of the premier yacht regattas on the east coast. For this year's 51st annual Figawi Regatta, the teams will race on Saturday and on Sunday from a starting point at Hyannisport Jetty on a course around Nantucket Sound.
Race start time is 11 a.m. If you'd like to see them off, you'll have a good vantage point from Kalmus Beach, Orrin Keyes Beach, or Sea Street Beach. (See my Hyannis beaches page for directions, parking info, etc.)
When: May 28, 2022, 10 am-3 pm
Where: First Congregational Church of Harwich Parish House, 690 Main Street, Harwich, MA

First Congregational Church in Historic Harwich Center is hosting a Craft Fair and Bake Sale in their Parish House.
Come see lots of different crafters and artists showcasing their
work, including beautiful jewelry, toss pillows, pottery figurines,
etched glassware, children's books, painted items, hand-made cards,
artisan soaps, and more!
There'll also be yummy baked goods and a pie sale at the Coffee Café.
When: May 29, 2022, 11:30 a.m. to midnight
Where: Capetown Plaza, Rt. 132, Hyannis MA

Cape Cod Cares for Our Troops honors our country's fallen heroes - and all members of the military - with its 18th annual "Troops in the Spotlight" event.
Come visit the Iraq/Afghanistan Memorial Wall. Enter to win great prizes in the Troops Raffle. See the display of military vehicles and equipment. Send a free video message to our deployed troops, and make a card to include in a care package.
And most importantly of all, meet and greet members of our country's military and thank them for their service!

The Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne will hold its annual Memorial Day remembrance ceremony on Sunday, May 29th.
This year's keynote speaker will be Margaret Kabat, LCSW-C, CCM, Senior Advisor for families, caregivers, and survivors, Office of the Secretary, Department of Veterans Affairs. Master of Ceremonies is Stephanie Viva, USA Veteran and host of X102.3, "Stephanie In The Morning".
