Sandwich Glass Museum Workshops

If you’re looking for something a little different to do on the Cape in February, the Sandwich Glass Museum has a full slate of hands-on glassworking experiences running throughout the month.

These aren’t demonstrations — you’re actually working with glass, guided by the museum’s instructors, and you leave with something you made yourself.

Some sessions are designed with families and kids in mind, with colorful projects everyone can enjoy. Others are geared toward couples, turning glassmaking into a fun, slightly indulgent way to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Either way, it’s a warm, creative break from winter!

Crafty Coffee

When: Fridays in February, 2026, 10 a.m. to noon

Where: Provincetown Public Library, 356 Commercial Street, Provincetown, MA

Stop by Provincetown Public Library for Friday morning Crafty Coffee hours. 

Grab a cuppa Joe, bring something you’re working on, or just visit.

Craft supplies will be provided, too. And baked goods have been known to appear on occasion. ;-)

It's a great way to start the weekend!


Orleans Farmers Market

When: Saturdays in February 2026 from 10 a.m. to noon

Where: 5 Namskaket Road, Orleans, MA

During the winter months, the popular Orleans Farmers Market is held indoors. 

Stop by and stock up on fresh, locally grown and harvested seafood, meats, and produce, as well as yummy treats, healthy foods and healing balms from area food artisans and wildcrafters.


Winter Film Series

When: Sundays in February 2026, film starts at 1:30 p.m.

Where: Cape Cod National Seashore's Salt Pond Visitors Center, 50 Nauset Road, Eastham, MA

Looking for something to do on a chilly Sunday afternoon? Head  to the Salt Pond Visitors Center in Eastham for the Friends of the Cape Cod National Seashore's popular Winter Film Series. 

This month's film line-up:

  • February 1 - Lincoln
  • February 8 - Apollo 13
  • February 15 - All the Presidents Men
  • February 22 - Bonnie and Clyde

Movies are free to attend; and there's plenty of free parking, too.


Cape Cod Beer Brewery Events

When: Throughout the month of February, 2026

Where: Cape Cod Beer Brewery, 1336 Phinney's Lane, Hyannis MA

Boat Builders Show on Cape Cod

When: January 30 - February 1, 2026; Friday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: Hyport Conference Center, 35 Scudder Avenue, Hyannis, MA 

Admission: $10 per person, 12 and under FREE

For avid boaters, this is one of the first Cape Cod events of the year to remind us that boating season will be here before we know it. 

Are you in the market for a new boat? Or maybe you'd just like to ogle some of the most beautiful watercraft you've ever seen?

You won't want to miss this year's Boat Builders' Show in Hyannis where talented, independent boat builders showcase their custom and limited-production fiberglass and wooden sail and powerboats.

No wonder this show is considered "The Best Independent Boat Builders Show in the Northeast"!


Cape Cod Museum of Natural History Programs

When: February 14 - 20, 2026, during museum open hours

Where: Cape Cod Museum of Natural History, Rt. 6A, Brewster

Admission: Admission prices vary by event. Some events are free with Museum admission.

Cape Cod Museum of Natural History re-opens mid-month, just in time for school vacation week. 

Along with all the wonderful exhibits the museum is known for, school vacation week brings even more fun and educational entertainment for the whole family.


Ramble Through the Bramble

When: February 16, 17 & 19, 2026 at 9:30 a.m.

Where: Green Briar Nature Center, 6 Discovery Hill Road, East Sandwich, MA

Admission:  $10 per person; reservations recommended

Take the whole family for a heartwarming wander through Green Briar’s beautiful trails, led by naturalist and storyteller Stu Parsons.

There’ll be stories, crafting, and a scrumptious snack to be enjoyed in the same enchanted surroundings that inspired Thornton W. Burgess to write his much-loved children’s books.


Outermost Contra Dance

When: February 2026 date - TBA

Where: Wellfleet Preservation Hall, 335 Main Street, Wellfleet, MA

Admission: $15 adults; $10 age 30 and under; $5 students (with ID)

Contra dancing is the true traditional New England dance, brought here by the Irish, English and Scottish settlers.

No fancy footwork needed – if you can walk, you can dance!  All the dances are taught and called. If you’re new to contra dance, be sure to get in on the early dances for the basic moves.

The contra dance is family friendly and welcomes dancers of all levels. So bring your sweetie, your kids, or come alone. Lots of fun, friendly people will be there to welcome you!


Cape POPS! 3: "Ragtime, Blues & All That Jazz"

When: February 21 & 22, 2026; Sat. at 7:30 p.m. and Sun. at 3:00 p.m.

Where: Barnstable Performing Arts Center, 744 West Main Street, Hyannis MA

Tickets: From $45+ for adults, from $22.50+ for students ($10 fee per order)

Step into a world of toe-tapping rhythms as Byron Stripling returns to the Cape Symphony stage to take you on a high-spirited journey through these iconic American genres in signature style, with plenty of entertaining and humorous vignettes along the way.

The program showcases ragtime master Scott Joplin, blues legend Muddy Waters, and more, with a rousing finale you won’t soon forget. Byron is joined by Bobby Floyd of the Ray Charles, Dr. John, and Count Basie Bands.
