If you’re looking for something a little different to do on the Cape in February, the Sandwich Glass Museum has a full slate of hands-on glassworking experiences running throughout the month.
These aren’t demonstrations — you’re actually working with glass, guided by the museum’s instructors, and you leave with something you made yourself.
Some sessions are designed with families and kids in mind, with colorful projects everyone can enjoy. Others are geared toward couples, turning glassmaking into a fun, slightly indulgent way to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Either way, it’s a warm, creative break from winter!

For avid boaters, this is one of the first Cape Cod events of the year
to remind us that boating season will be here before we know it.

Cape Cod Museum of Natural History re-opens mid-month, just in time for school vacation week.
Along with all the wonderful exhibits the museum is known for, school vacation week brings even more fun and educational entertainment for the whole family.

Contra dancing is the true traditional New England dance, brought here by the Irish, English and Scottish settlers.
No fancy footwork needed – if you can walk, you can dance! All the dances are taught and called. If you’re new to contra dance, be sure to get in on the early dances for the basic moves.
The contra dance is family friendly and
welcomes dancers of all levels. So bring your sweetie, your kids, or come alone. Lots of fun, friendly people will be there to welcome you!

Step into a world of toe-tapping rhythms as Byron Stripling returns to the Cape Symphony stage to take you on a high-spirited journey through these iconic American genres in signature style, with plenty of entertaining and humorous vignettes along the way.
