The popular Hyannis Home, Garden & Lifestyle Show will be back this month,  too.

Hyannis Marathon Weekend

When: March 3, 4 & 5, 2023

Where: Resort and Conference Center at Hyannis, 35 Scudder Avenue, Hyannis

Admission: Entry fees for participants; no charge for spectators

One of the premier Cape Cod events of the winter season, this weekend kicks off on Friday with a 5Km Fun Run. Saturday features an autograph signing session with Boston Marathon winner, Bill Rodgers. And Sunday is the big day for the Hyannis Marathon, Half Marathon and Marathon Team Relay. 

The Race Expo, special dinner events, the awards ceremonies and a post-race party round out the weekend's festivities.


Seasonal Happenings at Chatham Bars Inn

As we wrap up the winter season, Chatham Bars Inn's events calendar heats up with fun and creative events including floral design and jewelry-making classes, "Painting & Prosecco", wine tastings, calligraphy, astronomy, and iPhone photography classes and much more.

Be sure to reserve your spot early so you won't miss out!


Cape Cod St. Patrick's Parade

When: March 11, 2023, 11:00 a.m. *Rain or shine*

Where: Along Rt. 28 from South Yarmouth to West Yarmouth, MA

One of the most anticipated Cape Cod events in March, the St. Paddy's Day parade honors the Irish with the wearin' of the green and a 2 mile-long parade featuring floats, marching bands, beautiful Colleens, and plenty of parade beads to go around!


Orleans Farmers Market

When: Saturdays in March, 2023 from 10 a.m. to noon

Where: 44 Main Street, Orleans, MA

Admission: Free

During the winter months, the popular Orleans Farmers Market is held indoors at the Old Firehouse.

Stop by and stock up on fresh, locally grown and harvested seafood, meats, and produce, as well as yummy treats, healthy foods and healing balms from area food artisans and wildcrafters.


"Meet the Chef" Classes at Highfield Hall

When: March 5, 12, 19 & 26, 2023

Where: Highfield Hall, 56 Highfield Drive, Falmouth, MA

CCMOA Winter Concert Series

CCMOA's Winter Concert Series 2023 features performances in many different musical disciplines from Swing to Bluegrass, Jazz, Celtic and Classical.


Cape Cod Museum of Natural History Programs

When: Multiple dates in March 2023 

Where: Cape Cod Museum of Natural History, Rt. 6A, Brewster

Admission: Adults $15; seniors (65+) $12; children (3-12) $7; under 3 FREE; MA teachers, active duty military and immediate family, veterans FREE, all with proper ID.

Our Natural History Museum is a wonderful place to visit, especially in March when crowds are virtually non-existent.

Bring the young 'uns to learn all about the animals that make the Cape their home. Spend time exploring the museum's fascinating exhibits and walking the nature trails.

The complete lineup of March programs has yet to be announced. But it's safe to say, there's always something of interest for the whole family at CCNMH!


Outermost Contra Dance

When: March 17, 2023 at 7 p.m.

Where: Wellfleet Preservation Hall, 335 Main Street, Wellfleet, MA

Cost: $15 regular admission; $10 for ages 30 or younger; $5 for students (with ID)

Put on your dancin' shoes for this fun event at Preservation Hall!

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day with Outermost Contra Dance! Swing your partner, dosido your friends and neighbors, and let the music guide your feet!

Experienced Rhode Island caller Paul Wilde will be calling a variety of contra dances, ceilidh dances and mixers. Each dance will be taught with a thorough walk-through before the live music starts, with the intent of making all beginners feel comfortable.

Paul will be calling to the music of the Celtic duo, Billy and Beth on fiddle and piano, playing music from the Scottish, Irish, French Canadian, Bluegrass, and Appalachian fiddle traditions.

Along with the fun and easy dancing, Lianna Montgomery will be demonstrating her Irish Dance expertise during the break.

To celebrate the luck of the Irish, there will be a raffle for a beautiful vintage hand-screened Irish Blessing. If you bring a friend who's new to contra dancing, you both will get a free raffle ticket!

Everyone is welcome at this family friendly event, from total beginners to expert dancers. Bring a partner, or come solo. There are plenty of friendly people in this welcoming dance community.

Pirate Sam's Birthday Party

When: March 18, 2023, 10:30 a.m.

Where: Whydah Pirate Museum, 674 MA-28, West Yarmouth MA

Admission: Free with museum admission (adults $17; seniors ages 65+ $15; youth ages 5 - 15 $13; ages 4 & under Free)

Mark your calendars for March 18th when the world-famous Whydah Pirate Museum celebrates the 334th birthday of notorious pirate Captain Samuel "Black Sam" Bellamy.

Kids will love this birthday party event which includes  telescope-making, selecting your own pirate name, crafting treasure maps, and even signing the pirate Articles. Don't miss it!

*FYI: At age 28, in the prime of his pirating life, Black Sam's flagship "Whydah Gally" went down in a massive storm off the coast of Cape Cod. The Whydah's wreckage was discovered in 1984, and the museum holds much of the real pirate treasure.


Polar Plunge to Benefit MA Special Olympics

When: March 18, 2023, 9 a.m. to noon

Where: Red River Beach, Harwich Port, MA

Admission: Fundraising/donations by participants; free for spectators

Brrrave the cold and take the plunge to support more than 14,000 athletes of all abilities in sports training and competitions Special Olympics Massachusetts offers year-round.

All are invited to participate in the Plunge, including individuals, friends and families, and teams representing schools, businesses, organizations, and clubs.


Flowers After Hours

When: March 20, 2023 at 5:30 p.m.

Where: Flower Angels USA, 851 Route 28 #3, South Yarmouth, MA

Tickets: $25

Flower Angels invites you to indulge in the art of flower arranging, surrounded by friends and flowers at the Flower Angels workshop in South Yarmouth!

Flower Angels volunteers will guide you in making a gorgeous flower arrangement to take home or give to a loved one. Bring your own teacup and saucer to hold your arrangement, or choose one of theirs to take home.

Flowers and light refreshments provided.

Ticket proceeds from this event support Flower Angels and its mission of repurposing donated flowers into floral arrangements for delivery to Cape Cod nursing home residents.

Space is limited, so reserve your spot early!


Hyannis Rotary's Home, Garden & Lifestyle Show

When: March 25 & 26, 2023, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday

Where: Barnstable High School, West Main Street, Hyannis

This longstanding annual event brings together more than 100+ vendors showcasing the latest products and services for home, garden and a healthy lifestyle.

With food, raffles, gifts, door prizes, and lots more to round out the show's attractions, it's not surprising that this is one of the most popular early spring events on Cape Cod!


Gloriæ Dei Cantores Lenten Concert: Renaissance Masters 

When: March 25, 2023, 3:30 p.m. 

Where: Church of the Transfiguration, Rock Harbor, Orleans MA (in-person or via livestream)

Tickets: $35 adults; $30 seniors; under 18 Free
