March weather never dampens our St. Patrick's Day Parade spirit!

Throughout the month, you'll find plenty of fun on Cape Cod for the whole family!

Orleans Farmers Market

When: Saturdays in March, 2026 from 10 a.m. to noon

Where: 5 Namskaket Road, Orleans, MA

During the winter months, the popular Orleans Farmers Market is held indoors. 

Stop by and stock up on fresh, locally grown and harvested seafood, meats, and produce, as well as yummy treats, healthy foods and healing balms from area food artisans and wildcrafters.

CCMOA Winter Concert Series

When: Sundays in March 2026 at 4 p.m.

Where: Cape Cod Museum of Art, 60 Hope Lane, Dennis, MA

Admission: Individual tickets $18/member, $24/non-member; season passes also available

CCMOA's Winter Concert Series 2026 features performances in many different musical disciplines from Swing to Bluegrass, Jazz, Celtic and Classical.

Glass Experience

When: Multiple dates and times in March 2026

Where: Sandwich Glass Museum, 129 Main Street, Sandwich MA

Admission: $150 for one person, $275 for two, and $400 for three

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a glass blower? Head to the Sandwich Glass Museum for your own up-close and personal encounter with working molten glass!

While the class is aimed at beginners with no prior experience, you can also have fun coming back to try new techniques.

*Note: The Glass Experience is suitable for persons aged 12 and up. Only 3 persons per class, and spots book up quickly. So reserve early to avoid disappointment.

Hyannis Marathon Weekend

When: March 1, 2026, racing starts at 10 a.m. *Canceled*

Where: Emerald Resort and Conference Center, 35 Scudder Avenue, Hyannis

Admission: Entry fees for participants; no charge for spectators

One of the premier Cape Cod events of the winter season, this weekend kicks off on Friday with a 5Km Fun Run. Saturday features a pasta dinner party. Sunday is the big day for the Hyannis Marathon, Half Marathon and Marathon Team Relay.

The Race Expo, awards ceremonies and a post-race party round out the weekend's festivities.

Winter Film Series

When: March 1 & 8, 2026, film starts at 1:00 p.m.

Where: Cape Cod National Seashore's Salt Pond Visitors Center, 50 Nauset Road, Eastham, MA

Admission: Free (seating is limited; first come, first served)

Looking for something to do on a chilly Sunday afternoon? Head  to the Salt Pond Visitors Center in Eastham for the Friends of the Cape Cod National Seashore's popular Winter Film Series. 

This month's film line-up:

• March 1 - Bonnie & Clyde
• March 8 - True Grit

Movies are free to attend; and there's plenty of free parking, too.

Full Moon Exploration

When: March 3, 2026, 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.

Where: Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, South Wellfleet MA

Admission: $14 for members; $18 for non-members (registration required)

Immerse yourselves in the enchanting sights and sounds of nature during this guided evening walk at the sanctuary. Look and listen for nocturnal wildlife as the sun sets over Cape Cod Bay and the full moon rises over the eastern tree line.

FYI: The total distance traveled on this walk is less than 1.5 miles and goes at a slow pace.

Gabriel V Brass Quintet in Concert

When: March 6 and 7, 2026 at 7:30 p.m.

Where: Performing Arts Center, 95 Southern Eagle Cartway, Brewster MA

Tickets: General admission $35; Seniors $30; Free for Students & Youth

Gabriel V Brass Quintet performs "Dances in Brass", a concert that seeks to awaken attention, inspire imagination, and communicate the thrill of live music.

This program shows the wide-ranging role of brass in dance over centuries. Come be drawn in by the energy of the performance and the pleasure of hearing brass sound bold, alive, and human. 

Cape Cod St. Patrick's Parade

When: March 7, 2026, 11:00 a.m. *Rain, snow or shine*

Where: Along Rt. 28 from South Yarmouth to West Yarmouth, MA

One of the most anticipated Cape Cod events in March, the St. Paddy's Day parade honors the Irish with the wearin' of the green and a 2 mile-long parade featuring floats, marching bands, beautiful Colleens, and plenty of parade trinkets and candy to go around!

Jam Making Workshops

When: March 14 & 21, 2026

Where: Green Briar Nature Center & Jam Kitchen, 6 Discovery Hill Road, East Sandwich MA

Tickets:$85 for members, $95 for non-members; (includes all materials and instruction)

Join instructor, Addie Vestal, in the historic Green Briar Jam Kitchen and make your own batch of yummy jam to take home and enjoy. 

These workshops are a wonderful chance to learn how to make jams the way Ida Putnam did in this 100+ year-old kitchen.

All materials are provided, and participants take home four to six (8oz.) jars of finished product.

Polar Plunge to Benefit MA Special Olympics

When: March 14, 2026, 11 a.m. (registration/check-in at 10 a.m.)

Where: Red River Beach, Old Wharf Road, Harwich Port MA

Admission: Fundraising/donations by participants; free for spectators

Brrrave the cold and take the plunge to support more than 14,000 athletes of all abilities in sports training and competitions Special Olympics Massachusetts offers year-round.

All are invited to participate in the Plunge fundraiser, including individuals, friends and families, and teams representing schools, businesses, organizations, and clubs.

Outermost Contra Dance

When: March 20, 2026; doors open at 6:15 p.m.; dance begins at 7:00 p.m.; Contra Basics Workshop at 6:30 p.m.

Where: Wellfleet Preservation Hall, 335 Main Street, Wellfleet, MA

Cost: $15 regular admission; $10 for ages 30 or younger; $5 for students (with ID)

Celebrate the arrival of spring with Outermost Contra Dance! Swing your partner, dosido your friends and neighbors, and let the music guide your feet!

Everyone is welcome at this family friendly event, from total beginners to expert dancers. Bring a partner, or come solo. There are plenty of friendly people in this welcoming dance community.

Meet Your Local Farmers

When: March 28, 2026, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: Cape Cod Regional Technical High School, 351 Pleasant Lake Avenue, Harwich MA

Celebrate the start of spring and support local agriculture at the “Meet Your Local Farmers” event sponsored by Harwich Conservation Trust and the Orleans Farmers' Market.

Up to 50 farms, farm-supporting organizations, and conservation groups will be on hand to answer questions and share their stories of the land. Plus, farmers will be selling their unique products and foods, so it’s a great opportunity to bring home some Cape-grown goodness!

Plus, enjoy jazz tunes performed by Wayne Naus and the Art Ensemble of Cape Cod!
